The Cultural Walking Stick

Free offer for seniors in Oslo. Booking opens on Wednesday 10 June 2026 and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

With support from the City of Oslo, the Ministry of Culture, MUNCH offers a free art workshop including a short guided tour and light refreshments.

Art and Coffee is an outreach programme featuring an art workshop, an exhibition visit and a social gathering, specially tailored for people living with dementia. The workshop is led by one of MUNCH’s professional artists, with a focus on creativity and the joy of making something. Activities are adapted to suit both beginners and those with more artistic experience.

Following the workshop, participants may join a short guided tour of the exhibition Edvard Munch Infinite with one of MUNCH’s art mediators. During the visit, coffee, fruit and pastries will be served.

  • The programme runs by appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 to 13:00, during the period September 2026 to April 2027.
  • Maximum 10 participants per group, including any companions.
  • Duration: 2 hours.
