The opening day event starts off with a keynote lecture by McKenzie Wark, followed by panel discussions with the artists present, and finishes with a screening by Patricia Domínguez.
The second MUNCH Triennale explores the spaces between the real and the virtual, old and new technologies, dystopian and hopeful visions of the future. The keynote address by Professor McKenzie Wark, an Australian-born, New York-based writer and scholar renowned for her work on media theory, raving and transsexual narratives. Through a series of panel discussions on gaming, worldbuilding, textiles and altenative futures, the artists are invited to present their work in the exhibition.
The talks are moderated by curators Tominga O’Donnell and Mariam Elnozahy. There will be comlimentary light refreshments and coffee halfway through the talks programme. McKenzie Wark’s visit to Oslo is made possible by a collaboration with Karmaklubb*
