This is part of our UNG program, a free art and culture offering for young people! Space is limited, so it’s a good idea to arrive early. First come, first served!

UNG After Hours invites you to a unique evening where you can explore a dynamic mix of music, food and workshops in an intimate setting. By transforming the museum into a vibrant space for community, we want to inspire creativity!

Through neighborhood markets, block parties and curated events, Egget brings together artists, enthusiasts and young creatives for enriching and diverse events in Oslo. Egget is a community whose goal is to unite and shine a light on enthusiasts and artists in the community. Egget believes that diversity, new voices, and young engagement are key factors for a vibrant cityscape, and Egget wants to contribute to this.

We invite you to three evenings inspired by the MUNCH Triennale, where participants can delve deeper into both past and future traditions and crafts. We invite you to workshops, conversations, and ceremonies that explore the tension between dystopia and hope for the future.

4th of November - Sculpting with Textiles:

From histories in discarded clothing to hopefulness of a new life with Sampson Addae

We invite you to a textile sculpture workshop focusing on recycled and surplus materials. Our skin is our largest organ and the barrier between the outside and the inside. The only thing between our skin and the outside world is our clothing; and therefore, our clothing perhaps knows us best. We will create individual works of art that will be woven together into a larger work by the artist and workshop host Sampson Addae.

Sampson Addae holds a bachelor's degree in Painting and Sculpture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, and completed a master's degree at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2024. Sampson has held workshops for Nitja Centre for Contemporary Art and Kunstnernes Hus, among others, but is also a performing artist who has exhibited solo exhibitions such as Relics and Warnings at Kunstnersamfunnet earlier this year.

18th of November - Tea Ceremony and Print:

The importance of traditions in innovation and evolving societies with Maja Brenna / Spill the Tea:

We invite you to a Tea ceremony with Maja Brenna from Spill the Tea, where we can explore and play with our senses in the form of taste, smell and associations. Parallel to the tea ceremony, there will be an open workshop on plant printing with Juthamat Chamsoongnern. The evening will conclude with a conversation with Egget about traditions, memories, dreams, and hopes for the future.

Maja Brenna has been working with tea since 2012 and is a certified tea sommelier from the Tea Association of Canada. She has also written a master's thesis on direct trade in the tea industry and given lectures on the subject at the World Tea Expo, in addition to holding a bachelor's degree in photography from Kingston University in London. She is the co-founder of Spill the Tea, which aims to spread sustainable, high-quality tea and knowledge about tea and its traditions to the Norwegian public.

2nd of Desember - Lecture and Woven Possibilities:

Social accessibility in the learning spaces and libraries of the future with Tirill Bjørkeli Svaler

We invite you to a Artist talk with Tirill Bjørkeli Svaler about the future of libraries and the accessibility of public spaces for everyone in society. We invite you to a conversation, led by Egget, where we will further explore the connection between space, presence and themes related to Svaler's presentation and the Triennial's theme. Parallel to the conversation, we invite you to participate in a round-table workshop with Juthamat Chamsoongnern.

Tirill Bjørkeli Svaler is a librarian with a master's degree in Library and Information Science from Oslo Metropolitan University and is passionate about inclusive spaces.
